MEASURING
GUIDE

Accurate measurements are key when working remotely. I use them to build a 3D model of your space, which guides the design. Measurements include floor plans and vertical dimensions.

If you have drawings from a builder, agent, or landlord, feel free to use those as a starting point.

FLOOR PLAN

Follow these steps to capture your room measurements. No need to draw to scale—just note everything clearly.

01. Sketch the shape of the room from a bird’s-eye view.

02. Measure each wall corner to corner and record the length in inches (e.g., 90”). Label each wall (Wall A, Wall B, etc.).

03. Measure all doors, windows, and openings, and mark them on your sketch.

ELEVATION

01. Take a photo of each wall.

02. Measure the size and placement of key elements (windows, doors, closets, trim, fireplaces, built-ins) and note them on the photo.

03. Label each wall (Wall A, Wall B, etc.) to match your floor plan.
